Nicolas Belfrage: Deepish, bright, very attractive color, with hardly any orange on rim. Low-key spicy/herby nose. A little thin on the palate, the tannins showing through, but needs three to four years to balance 16
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to ruby; pink rim. Open, mature cedarwood nose, with mature cherries and cassis. Pleasant and mature palate with noble tannic structure and long clean finish. Again, a touch simple on the finish. 16
Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Warm, earthy, full, deep; plum fruits, with a touch of apple. Vivid, deep, round; relatively artless fruits, but plenty of them; quite a slender middle palate, but some stoniness at the very end. Flavory, diverting wine, though without the concentration, poise, and finesse of the very best. Just a little bit slender; perhaps picked earlier than most in this tasting? Or is it a question of vineyard management and yield? Good wine nonetheless. 14
