Bruno Besa: Garnet to ruby, pink rim. A touch closed yet clean, small red-and-black-fruit nose, with raw meat, cranberries, cherries, prunes, and hints of violets and rosewater. Medium to full body, very balanced, with sweet fruit, layered tannins, and lively acidity. Long, with an inviting herbal finish. Great effort, needs time. 18
Andrew Jefford: Limpid black-red. A bear-hug of a nose, full of developed black-cherry fruits. Easygoing, sweet, soft, and accessible on the palate: an introductory Brunello, but has the class of the place to it; the fruit is delicious, and the tannins are serious. You could do much worse than spend tonight with this bottle (but no waiting necessary). 15.5
