Nicolas Belfrage: Good Brunello of the more modern style – emphasis on tannin and alcohol – coffee, mocha, dark chocolate, but with plenty of sweet cherry fruit. Not together now, but will drink well from 2012 for 10 years. 16

Roy Richards Rather decayed nose, clears in part to lead to a dense but fatiguing palate – too rich for its own good. 14

Franco Ziliani: Very dark concentrated color, almost inky. The nose is very ripe, with some oaky and toasted notes. Good structure, but slightly bitter tannins are not well harmonized with fruit and the finish is dry. 14.5
