Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth, correct, brick on rim. Some Sangiovese funkiness on nose. The real thing on the palate, some decaying vegetable, some sweet cherry, makes up in attractiveness for what it lacks in concentration. Good acidity and tannin, balanced and harmonious, this is drinking now for another 15 years. 17

Roy Richards Closed. Then dense without any exuberance. This is a traditional wine by the quality of its tannins, arguably short on acidity, but all there. Long-term. 17

Franco Ziliani: Ruby-violet color of normal, Sangiovese, intensity. The nose is complex, fresh, appealing, elegant, with fleshy cherry fruit, some rhubarb and aromatic herbs, mineral, earthy notes. Good freshness and balance and a very clear Tuscan character. The palate confirms the good impression of freshness, saltiness, lively acidity, good fruit, with solid Sangiovese tannins, and a good complexity. Ready to drink now, but with a good ageing potential. 16.5
