Jesús Barquín:Bright reddish amber. Delicate nose, rather on the spicy and nutty side, with a warm background of apple pie. Again, delicacy and finesse are the words for its performance on the palate. Quite Burgundian, so to speak, but in the best sense, where finesse goes hand in hand with aroma, structure, and expression. Clean and long finish, one of my favorites. 94
Andrew Jefford:Clear, limpid, translucent. Sweet, pure, fresh, and piney, with a crushed pine-needle earthiness below; the sweetness hints at strawberry somehow. Intriguing. Lovely wealth and depth in the mouth, a tongue-coating warmth that I wasn’t expecting. In the mouth, too, this is an aromatically complex wine, with a lovely cascading end-of-season fruited sweetness deftly balanced by the pine-forest and cigar-leaf complexities of age. 90
Richard Mayson:Lovely amber-tawny hue; fine, lifted, touch of toffee apple on the nose; lovely soft, creamy texture, with the merest dusting of tannin midpalate and a savory but rather dry finish. 82
