Nicolas Belfrage: Mid-depth, with a hint of turn. Attractive incipient nose. Elegant balance of cherry/berry fruit, sottobosco, with bright acidity and spot-on tannins. Drink from 2016 for quite a while. 17

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to lively pink rim. Intense, mature, small black-fruit nose, with some oak at present yet wonderfully clean and complex with small red fruits and hints of Mediterranean herbs. Round, mature, balanced palate, with perfect tannins and lively acidity. The fruit is clean and defined, with long cranberry-fruit finish. Extremely well made, with a long future ahead. 18.5

Andrew Jefford: Dense, saturated black-red. Sweet, cherrycream and coffee scents, which is the direction in which oak takes the wine, and very pretty in its own way, too. On the palate, this is a rich, dense wine, with rather pruney fruit, but lavish and hugely enjoyable. It’s not the most classically poised wine on the table, but I’d love to drink it all the same. 15.5
