BB | Deep garnet to pink. Ripe, smoky, black-fruit nose, with an earthy, forest-floor character. Fairly rustic, full-bodied palate, with a ripe but slightly challenging finish. 88
MP | The nose is delicate and aromatic, with spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, incense, and dried fruit, including prune, fig, and date. There are also floral notes of rose and acacia. The palate fills out nicely, with the oak beginning to integrate with the fruit leaving a mouthfilling impression of ripe fruit allied to firm structural components. I suspect this will continue to improve for a few years. 94
AJ | Dark black-red; clear and bright. Another wine with the kerosene note, but once again this is not dominant or oppressive. Dry grasses and forest warmth alongside. This is a fair description of the palate, too, where the warmth has delivered a dryish but attractive flavor of some tenacity but not much dimension. It is more refined and classical than many of its peers, though. 89
