Nicolas Belfrage: Definite turn on the rim, suggests traditional style. Herby, floral macchia mediterranea aromas hinted at on nose. Creamy tannins that spread throughout the mouth and expand, with individual funky fruit aromas and flavors. A pleasure to drink now but will last well. Good Brunello. 96
Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny. Refined, intense, complex, mineral small-red-fruits nose with red plums, mature peaches, and refined herbal undertones. Balanced, medium to full-bodied palate, super silky tannins, and long round, mature peaches finish. A great Sangiovese showing the gentle side of the variety. A superb red wine to drink now and over many years. 97
Andrew Jefford: Clear and light compared to its deeperhued peers. Vivid red-fruit scents, with plenty of ripeness: vivid cherry and plum. A great throat full of fruit here. Vivid, fresh, and lively on the palate, with a lighter textured, more graceful style than many of its peers. The fruits are sweet but cleanly shaped and defined, without raisin or cereal notes. Not the longest keeper, but a wine of great charm for the near to mid-term. (It comes equipped with serious tannins, as nearly everything does in this vintage.) 88
