Nicolas Belfrage: Relatively light in color, bright. Cherry cough drops on the nose. Rich and very ripe fruit on the palate, with good acidity and smooth tannins. Almost juicy in the mouth, with loads of charm, the archetypal 2011. Drinking now, perhaps not for too many years, but enjoy it while you can. 94

Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny, pink. Broad, nutty, and spicy nose, with dried roses, hazelnuts, and cassis. Refined palate, with sweet fruit and a long, mineral finish. Mature yet complex and restrained. 92

Andrew Jefford: Clear and translucent, though dark garnet in hue. Fragrant, teasing, and refined: what a lovely aroma! All the plantiness, all the fruitiness, all the soiliness; yes, they’re all here somewhere, gathered together into a seamless aromatic sheaf. Poised, teasing, rounded, seamless: magnificent ripeness here, and magnificent control of the raw materials in the winery, to give a wine that combines grace and firmness, generosity and reserve, exuberance and finesse to a very impressive extent. Subtle, sumptuous, and refined, but a top performer today. 92
