BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Deep ruby to garnet. Open, clean red-cherry and cranberry nose, with a floral, geranium and dried roses, character and hints of earth and leather. Medium- to full-bodied, a clean, lively palate, with noble tannins and long, bing-cherry finish. A wine that seems to have a lot to offer over the mid-term. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep, scarlet red. Rich plum and prune fruits, with a sweet depth to them; sprightly and attractive. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, deep, and searching, with real authority and grandeur; the fruits are very intense and long on the palate. It’s not particularly seductive at this stage, but if you want that, I think you need to age this wine for another half-decade or decade, after which time its sinews will relax a little. There are ample tannins and the inner wealth to carry the wine in time. | 92

Anthony Rose | Youthful vigorous ruby in color; good fresh purity of Sangiovese aroma; nice cherryish sweetness of fruit at the beginning, morphing to sweet, savory cherry on the mid-palate, and a firmish grip of tannins combining with good acidity in a wine that should age well for five to seven years. | 93
