BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage | Deep color, with a definite touch of garnet on the rim going toward the heart. Floral and berry-fruit aromas. Creamy and soft but filled with dried fruit and dark-cherry flavors, this wine presents itself as ready for drinking now but will probably improve with a few years in bottle. Good typicity. Drink from 2020. | 92

Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Open with sweet oak nose, tobacco, smoke, and mature black and red fruit. A slightly unbalanced palate and fairly challenging finish. | 84

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear black-red. Fresh, sweet-grassy scents; not oppressive, but we are in the herbaceous register. A touch reduced, too. Lacks enticement. On the palate, the wine has some ripe fruit and some tannic mass but lacks concentration of fruit; there are also some green tones. I could drink a glass or two, but I wouldn’t set out to buy it. It seems as if a difficult vintage has the upper hand here. | 84
