Nicolas Belfrage: Typical Sangiovese sour-cherry fruit, a bit of wild berry. Firm tannic structure with typical Sangiovese acidity. It starts off well in the mouth then falls away, but picks up again on the finish. Good character, but a bit rocky on the follow -through. 15

Stephen Brook: Deep red. Very ripe, oaky nose. Succulent, polished, ultra-ripe and lush, but it has good acidity and concentration. Not harm onious yet, but all the elem ents are there, including firm, ripe tannins. Not approachable now but should be succulent in five years' time. A good, chewy finish. 18

Alison Buchanan: Deep ruby-garnet. Very sweet, confected nose. Peppery. Very concentrated with very hefty tannins. Massive but overextracted. 15.5
