Simon Field: Relatively light of color, with an attractive luminosity and the gentle perfume of the orange grove at dusk. The palate is surprisingly rich, almost cloying. The herbal and marmalade notes are attractive and slightly unusual. A subtle and attractive wine. 16
Richard Mayson: Pale amber-tawny, with a green tinge to the rim. Delicate, lifted yet refined, with freshly toasted almonds and dried apricots; sweet and supremely delicate, with toasted flavors and great poise and finesse. Finishes with great beauty and flair. 18
Margaret Rand: Characterful, pungent, refined: much more the sort of thing one’s looking for. Complex and delicate, but with a strong core, and flavors of coffee and spice. A long, long finish. Confident and deep. 16
