Simon Field: Color with hints of brick beyond its amber core. The nose has elements of spice, slate, and dried apricot, with a hint of autumn bonfires. The palate is forthright, balanced if a little fiery, quite concentrated. Not as harmonious as some of its peers, but not without real character! 16
Richard Mayson: Very pale if pinkish in color. Fine milk-chocolate aromas with soft creamy texture and length, slightly spirity on the finish, but showing balance and poise. Multidimensional. Good. 15.5
Margaret Rand: Powerful alcohol; plenty of fruit, coffee, and chocolate. Nutty and warming, round and long. 12
