BB | Garnet to pink. Lively and herbal nose with red and black fruits, mint, cherries, orange peel, rosemary and thyme. Balanced palate, sweet black cherries, salty, mineral, lively, inviting, super clean palate with long, sour cherries finish. Superb Sangiovese.Drink Dates: 2030 - 2040. 97
AJ | Dark black-red; indeed one of the darker wines. Forthcoming, with a vegetal as well as a fruited charge: bright, almost citrus-like. Evocative and enticing. That same crunchy citrus is there on the palate, making for a wonderfully bright mouthful. Northern zone, north-facing? We don't know, but to me this wine seems to have a soprano northern energy to it. It's All About The Fruit here, and that fruit comes rocketing out of the glass, acid-propelled, and holds your attention right the way through its flavour arc. Those acids are fresh and juicy, winningly ripe; the tannins (alongside its peers) are relatively discreet. All just lovely as such: well done. The most aerial of Brunelli but just watch it fly!Drink Dates: 2025 - 2033. 93
MP | Pronounced nose with a high-toned, volatile note showing candied red fruit. On the palate this is disjointed and simple.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2027. 87
